Hackensack police Friday morning arrested Timothy Smith, 42 , who been living at the Main Street Y, on sexual assault and child endangerment charges, Capt. Peter Busciglio said.
The incidents all occurred at the Y last Friday and were reported to city police the same day, he said.
"With the assistance of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, the six victims...were interviewed during the course of the next over the next two days, Busciglio said.
Smith, who'd been employed as a deli worker at the Paramus ShopRite on Route 4, was processed at city police headquarters and was headed to the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing.
